At NT School Sport, we believe sport is more than competition. It’s about effort, encouragement, inclusion, and community. To recognize those who bring these values to life, we’ve created a simple but meaningful way to say thank you.
The NT School Sport Award
This award is presented to individuals, teams, or community members who have made a positive difference in school sport. Whether they’re students cheering on teammates, teachers organizing extra practices, or volunteers helping events run smoothly, this award celebrates those who go above and beyond to uplift others.
There is no ranking. No first place. Just recognition of impact.
Who Can Be Recognized?
Anyone who contributes to school sport in a meaningful way:
- Students showing leadership and kindness
- Coaches or teachers fostering inclusive environments
- Volunteers supporting events behind the scenes
- Communities creating space for youth to grow through sport
How It Works
Throughout the school year, NT School Sport will select individuals or groups from across the Northwest Territories to receive this award. Recipients may be recognized during events, on our website, or through social media shout-outs.
