The NT School Sports Fair Play Pin is a special recognition that celebrates the people who go above and beyond at our school sport events. It is awarded in the moment, at our tournaments and gatherings, by the people who witness these moments firsthand. These pins are not sold. They are earned.

What the Fair Play Pin Recognizes?
The Fair Play Pin highlights moments of true character, including:
- respect and kindness, even in competitive situations
- inclusion and support for others
- leadership through actions
- helping an opponent, teammate, official, or volunteer
- honesty and integrity
- representing your school and community with pride
Anyone who is part of the NT School Sports world can be recognized, athletes, coaches, volunteers, officials, staff, and supporters.
How It Works?
At each NT School Sports event, organizers and event leaders keep an eye out for meaningful moments of fair play.
When someone goes above and beyond:
- An organizer may recognize them on the spot
- If possible, the pin is presented right away
- If not, the pin may be given later through their school or at a future event
These recognitions are based on what is seen and experienced in real time. The goal is to honour genuine moments of respect, kindness, and leadership as they happen.

If you witness a moment that deserves to be recognized, you can help us document it.
We have a short form on this page where you can share details. This is not a formal application. It simply helps us gather information so organizers can follow up and make sure the story is not lost. Anyone connected to NT School Sports can be highlighted through this process. This helps us celebrate the moment properly and keep a record of the stories behind each pin.

This project helps make those moments visible and reminds all of us that sport is about more than results. It is about respect, belonging, and community.
