A Symbol of Connection, Movement, and the North
Our logo is more than a design. It’s a reflection of who we are, where we come from, and what we stand for in NT School Sport.
Logo Meaning
Each element of our logo carries meaning that represents the people and land of the Northwest Territories:
- The figure in motion represents youth and movement. It stands for every student who shows up, participates, and grows through sport.
- The star reminds us that every participant is a shining star, not just the fastest or the strongest, but everyone who contributes, supports, and tries their best.
- The green waves represent the aurora dancing in the northern sky, symbolizing energy, inspiration, and the unique magic of the North.
- The blue forms reflect the lakes, rivers, and land that connect our communities and support life in the Territories.
- The white space echoes our long winters and bright snow-covered landscapes, reminding us of resilience, reflection, and beauty.
- The circle symbolizes unity, we are all connected through sport. And it’s open, to show that we are welcoming, inclusive, and always ready to invite others in.
This is a logo for everyone. For the athlete scoring the goal. For the student cheering from the sideline. For the volunteer taping the floor, and the teacher driving the bus. You are all part of this.
