NT School Sports is proud to recognize and celebrate the student-athletes who brought home gold medals at the 2026 Arctic Winter Games.

To honour this incredible achievement, each student gold medal winner will receive a special NT School Sports commemorative hoodie. More than just a piece of clothing, the hoodie represents years of dedication, early mornings, hard training sessions, perseverance, and the courage to compete on one of the North’s biggest stages.

The 2026 Arctic Winter Games showcased the very best of youth from across the circumpolar world. Our student-athletes represented their schools, communities, families, and the Northwest Territories with pride, determination, and sportsmanship.

While this recognition is for our gold medal winners, we also want to acknowledge every Team NT athlete who took part in the Games. Success comes in many forms. For some, it was standing on the podium. For others, it was competing against the best athletes from across the North, stepping outside their comfort zone, travelling far from home, overcoming challenges, making new friendships, and proudly wearing the colours of Team NT.

Many of our athletes travelled hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of kilometres from their home communities to participate. That commitment deserves recognition and celebration.

Every athlete who represented Team NT contributed to the success of the Games and helped inspire the next generation of young Northerners to dream big, stay active, and pursue their goals.

Congratulations to all Team NT athletes, coaches, officials, mission staff, volunteers, families, and supporters. You have made the Northwest Territories proud.
