Six school regions, 51 teams, and two full days of volleyball action made this year’s Senior Spike It one of the most memorable yet. From experienced squads to developing programs, teams brought their energy, passion, and commitment to the courts of Yellowknife.
It was especially exciting to see Fort Good Hope reach the 18U Boys Tier 1 final, facing off against St. Pat’s in a thrilling match that highlighted just how far small community programs have come. A special shout-out to Chief Sunrise Education Centre, celebrating only their second banner ever, a milestone that speaks to the heart of growth and dedication in our territory’s sport landscape. Another standout moment came as Diamond Jenness Secondary School (DJSS) claimed Tier 1 victory in the 15U Boys division.
Throughout the weekend, it was clear. This tournament is about more than just volleyball. It’s about community. It’s about building confidence, connection, and momentum, one serve, one point, one cheer at a time.
